Eliminate buffer xruns, audio dropouts, and CPU overload when routing heavy multichannel audio streams across DAWs and system drivers.
1. Adjust Core Audio Buffer Size
In Hydra Preferences > Driver Settings, set the Core Audio System Extension buffer size to 128 or 256 samples for real-time live performance, or 512 samples for heavy 9.4.6 Atmos mixes.
- Ensure GroundControl ASRC (Automatic Sample Rate Conversion) is enabled when mixing physical hardware interfaces.
- Disable macOS App Nap for background DAW processes.
